Hug Me Bunny!

This little bunny is called miss Hearts. She is a true softie, this girl. Her favorite pastime is to give people big cuddly hugs and to be cute. She went to wish merry Christmas to a little cute girl and I hope they have great time together this coming year. With this cuddly thought, I want to wish you all a wonderful and very Huggable New Year 2010. :)

Hedgehog are so cute, I think. It seems like I’m sewing hedgehogs in everything possible. Here again blue trousers and a hat got some colour with a stripy hedgehog appliqued in front. Onni’s cousin got this set for Christmas. It matches nicely to the shirt that I made for him on his birthday. Hope he likes hedgehogs as much as I do. :)

More Moomins

More Moomins indeed. This shirt was delivered by the Santa to the same family as the Moomin dress. They are all devoted Moomin fans so naturally I had to make a Moomin shirt for the big brother. This one is made of blue jersey knit and has appliqued Moomin Pappa in front. White stripes are a cute detail in a simple shirt and fit nicely to the white Moomin. I like.

This tasty tunic dress full of strawberries was a Christmas present for a cute little two year old girl. The strawberry fabric used to be a small curtain and was just enough to make this outfit. In the winter the tunic dress fits nicely with long sleeve shirt and tight trousers and in summertime it’s perfect on its own. From the leftovers I cut a small flower, which I appliqued to a velor hat. Nice detail to brighten up the dark winter.

Moomins are the best. At least if you ask my son. He loves the Moomins and wants to play with his Moomin cards and toys all day long. His little cousin is also a huge Moomin fan, so she got this cute Snork Maiden velor dress for Christmas. Naturally I had to make a matching hat with little My hiding up there. Snork Maiden and Little My are cut from an old Moomin duvet cover and appliqued to the velor. Lining is yellow orange soft cotton from a vintage sheet. Hope she was pleased with the Santa this year ;)

Up in the clouds

So, the Santa came and went again and left us with joyful Christmas spirit. Thank you all our dear friends from all the lovely presents and cards. Onni enjoyed opening everyone of them. :)

So, now I can finally show you few things I have been making before Christmas. This set was a Christmas present to a cute little boy. I wanted to do some printing again so I printed this brown shirt with bunch of yellow clouds. I added green ribs to give some colour and made a matching green trousers to make a set complete. I just love brown, yellow and green together.

Huggable Holidays

I have finally started my Christmas holiday, which means no sewing for few days. It is going to be difficult to stay away from the sewing machine, since as soon as I started my holiday, I have gotten lots of ideas what to make. Well, I have been sketching lots and I think this holiday will do me good after a busy busy autumn.  So, alongside these three little Huggables, I want to wish you all happy holidays and a wonderful and creative Christmas time.

Hoodie with a guitar

This sweater is a birthday present to a Thirty year old guitar fan. A simple black sweater was given a bit more personal look with an appliqued guitar at the back. The guitar is cut from an old retro fabric. There is also a  sew on tag with two guitars in the front. Looks pretty cool, I think. ;)

Babies, babies..

It seems like all of our friends are having babies these days. So many little cuties have been born and more are on the way. Lot of babies means lot of baby presents. So, what to give to those little ones?

These hedgehog trousers go to a brand new baby boy. I made them in size 68cm, because the babies tend to grow so fast in the beginning and it is nice to have some bigger clothes waiting. The trousers are made of stripy jersey knit and the appliqued hedgehog is velor. I used yellow thread to applique the hedgehog to add some colour as well as a yellow button. I seem to make nothing but hedgehogs  these days. I just think they are so adorable. Especially in small baby clothes. Though, I am tempted to make a hedgehog hoodie for myself. We shall see what I come up with this Christmas holiday ;)

I made this shirt to a cute little birthday boy, who turned one year a while ago.  The shirt is made of brown and stripy jersey and has number one appliqued in front. At the back I also appliqued the birthday boy’s name. The shirt reminds me of football shirt, just cuter ;)  Congratulations, little boy!
