Greetings from the holiday!

We are spending our holiday weeks in hot Finland and are definitely enjoying the heat and the sunshine. I finally got the chance to take action pictures of Onni’s Retrobug trousers. These yellow and brown teddybear pants are size 68cm trousers with ribbing on ankles but they are perfect shorts for size 92cm. Onni loves to wear them, because they are nice and thin and therefore comfortable in the heat.

The blog will be a bit quiet next few weeks, but I will get back in action in August. Have a lovely summertime everyone!

I’ve been making something a bit more autumny lately. There’s some brown bunnies and red bunnies and they all go nicely together. :) The brown bunny jacket is spiced up with yellow details to add some colour. The brown hat with yellow lining suits the jacket nicely. The red bunny jacket also got a red hat to pair up with. Sleeves are long and folded so the jackets will fit the kids longer. Both jackets have cute pointy hoods and are size 92/98cm. They are all for two little twin girls, just like the bunny velor sets before. There will be plenty of bunnies in their family for this Autumn. Hope you enjoy your bunnies, girls! :)

It has been lovely Summer weather here last few days but I have been surprisingly productive. It must be the soon beginning holiday that keeps me motivated ;) I am going to Finland with my son for few weeks this Friday. I am hoping the wonderful Summer weather continues for few more weeks.

Due to my holiday, I won’t take any custom made orders for now. The Retrobug Shop is however open and in stock products will be delivered on schedule. I have added a pile of new brooches in Retrobug Shop, go and have a look.

Sunny thoughts to you all,

These bunny velor sets are for two year old twin girls. One of them loves pink and the other one likes to dress up in yellow and brown. The hoodies have bunnies at the back and zipper in front and are both lined with white jersey. The trousers have long ribbing on the waist and and ankles. Appliqued bunnies decorate the front of both trousers. I think these sets look double as adorable together ;)

The Bunny fabric

I went to a flee market yesterday and I found a whole duvet cover made of my favorite bunny fabric. The best of all, this is a totally new colour combination for me, orange and blue! I have never seen this fabric in these colours. I was so happily surprised. It is really difficult to find these bunny fabrics these days and I have never seen them here in Iceland. I have tried researching the manufacturer of these fabrics but so far I have not  been very successful. Does anyone have an idea which company was making these fabrics? I wonder how many cool colour combinations they had.. :)

Have a great weekend everyone!

Few little lions

This shirt is a birthday present for a little two year old boy. Onni and he have been playing together lately and they have been growling and pretending to be dinosaurs and lions. Us parents have been “scared” a lot last few days ;) So, since he and his family are going back to Norway in few weeks time, I decided to make some growling buddies for him in a shirt. Though, these lions look very tame compared to the boys. They definitely know their grrrrrooooows! :D

Summer jeans

I have had these pairs undone for weeks and now I finally got to finish them. The fabric is soft and thin recycled jeans and the pockets are from old curtains and a pillow case. I really like this combination of dark soft jeans with bright and colourful pockets and ribbing. The size of the yellow jeans is about 74-80cm as long trousers and 92cm as shorts or capri pants. The green ones are bit shorter, I’d say 68 – 74cm and 86cm as shorts. I will add action pictures later when I can snap few images of Onni trying them out. ;)

p.s. You can find them in Retrobug Shop.

Bunny hat

These bunny hats are always such a joy to make. This one is an order for a green jersey hat with a bunny applique. The lining is white jersey as well as the straps. The hat is size 2-3 yrs. All of the Retrobug hats like this are reversible and can therefore be used both ways up. It is possible to have an applique on the lining as well, to make most of the reversible quality. Two in one indeed. ;)

I am so happy to see little kids enjoying their Retrobug clothing or Huggables and of course it is nice to see   happy customers in all ages ;) Here is  another cute picture of Retrobug  clothing in action. Look at this little Ivar boy.  What a cute grin! :) Such a happy camper with his funky giraffe shirt.

This dark pink set is a present for a birthday lady. A large pouch got a strap so it can be used as a small handbag as well. The brooch fits nicely to the pouch and it can be used on its own as an accessory too. A matching cup carrier finalizes the set. The strap closes with a button so it is easy to use and it fits nicely even a large take away cup. I would like to see this set in action :)
