Stripes stripes

This laptop sleeve is made of stripy black and white thick cotton and has red polkadot lining. On top of padding I added fleece lining to give more protection for the computer. My hubby ordered a laptop sleeve from me ages ago, but it took forever for me to find time to get it done. Finally I got it done and conveniently just in time for his birthday ;) He was happy to get a laptop sleeve of his own. And I am happy, since now I got my own sleeve back :D

Another star baby

I got in the mood of making stars after those velor trousers and rattle so I made a winter hat for my little cutie pie. It has been such a cold winter weather here in Iceland so far that I needed to make something good and warm to cover those little ears. The hat is made of brown velor and has turquoise star appliqued in the front. The lining is turquoise polarfleece so the hat is definitely warm. I added straps to the hat so it will definitely stay on the ears and cheeks. Elmeri has brown and turquoise winter overall so the hat will fit nicely to that. Cute cute and very warm!

Baby star

My friend had a babyboy a while ago and I wanted to send him something cute and soft. My little boy loves to play with a star shaped rattle that I made last Christmas, so I decided to make similar one for this new baby. I used bright green polkadot cotton for the star and added a bell inside so it makes little sound when wiggled around. I also made velor trousers for him with green star applique and green ribbing on the waist and ankles. Now he can play with his rattle in matching trousers.. ;)

Robot

It has been a busy last few months. My little boy is already over three months old and he is truly a funny little one. He makes his mom laugh everyday. Nowadays he has started to sleep a bit longer during the day so I have had time to sew some things again, which is great. I have definitely missed sewing! Today we went to a three year old birthday and I had made the birthday boy a soft terry shirt with Robot applique. I used brown and stripy terry for the shirt and velor and jersey bits for the applique. Onni was a bit upset that I made a robot shirt for someone else than him, so I think there will be another robot shirt in the making soon.. ;)

Baby overalls

My friend got a little baby boy few weeks ago and she asked me to sew him something cute out of old vest she had. It was bright blue vest with big pockets and made of strong cotton so I decided to make baby overalls out of it. I used one of the pockets at the back and added a zipper in front. My friend chose a green thin cotton with clovers for the lining which gives nice colour to the whole. It turned out really cute and is made totally out of recycled fabrics ;)

This little baby owl’s favorite colour is pink. She likes anything pink. Cotton candy, flowers, pink little babies ;) She also likes green, which happens to be a colour of a good friend of hers, the stripy monkey boy. The monkey boy has ears full of hearts and he likes to listen happy children’s stories and songs, which makes him lovely company to be with. He especially likes the little baby owl and wants to sit next to her where ever they are. Baby bed or sofa or even at the car. They are together and best friends ever. And they are looking forward of getting to know one special little baby boy..

Tiny Teddy hat

I am finally adding something here in the forgotten blog. It has been so busy with the little baby that I haven’t gotten much time to sew. However, the winter is coming and I wanted to make the little boy warm but cute hat. (A hat is fast enough to sew when he is napping ;) ) The hat is brown velor and has jersey lining for the warmth. I sewed little teddy ears to the seams and I think it turned out cute cute cute. Well, the little guy inside the hat is so cute that anything looks cute on him. ;)

New arrival

Our family has grown with a little brother. He is adorable and we just spend all days getting to know this happy little boy. So, the blog is a bit quiet now, but as soon as our life settles down a bit, I will post about all the little things I have made for the new arrival. Now I gotta go and cuddle with the little cutie. Awww, I am so in love!!! ;)

Stripy baby

I have been organising baby clothes lately as I realised that the baby could actually come any day now. Although I am sure this little one keeps us waiting just like his big brother did ;) Nevertheless, it is good to be prepared and therefore I made this little stripy outfit in newborn size. It is made of stripy terry and has hemp knit lining inside. I thought it would be good outfit to bring the newborn baby home from the hospital. Just can’t wait to see the little one in his stripy suit!!

This outfit is also for my friend’s baby. She saw the cotton knit in my fabric piles and wanted a hoodie from it. It is really nice and soft knit with cute little colourful monsters and text I’m a little monster! ;) I used press buttons in the front and also made matching velor pants with kneepads to go with the hoodie. The outfit is size 70cm but the trousers will definitely fit long because of long ribbing on the waist and ankles. Perfect for mommy’s little monster!
