Pippi skirt

A while ago, I made this Pippi dress, which is available in Suomi PRKL! Design in Reykjavik, Iceland. The fabric has caught a lot of attention, and it is indeed a cute and rare vintage found. I only had a small sheet of the fabric available, so I couldn’t make too much out of it. However, there were just enough left to spice up a skirt with few Pippis ;)

This red and white spotty skirt is size 116cm and has red ribbing on the waist. It is made of four pieces of fabric and Pippi fabric is on front and back. The skirt is made for a little girl, that reminds me of Pippi Longstockings occasionally. Quite fitting, I think ;)

Wanna make a skirt?

Wuhuu! I have finally added all the new Retrobug stuff to the Retrobug Shop! There are now also new products available as well as possibility to order custom made dresses, trousers and skirts in fabric of your choice. Go and have a peak!

My new favourites are these skirts. They are so easy to make and so colourful and cute. Since they are so easy to make and the pattern is very simple, I was wondering if people would be interested in Tutorial of the skirt of this type? The great thing about this skirt is, that you can combine fabrics and colours endlessly to your liking. You can add a pocket or an applique or leave it to the basics. Only the sky is the limit. So, what do you think? Wanna try a Summer Skirt Tutorial? ;)

Have a sunny Weekend,

Skirts and sunshine

This skirt was a birthday present for Onni’s cousin who turned three years last week. She is such a little cutie and I think this combination of orange and pink will suit her nicely. Happy Birthday sweetie, hope you had a wonderful Birthday party. :)

We arrived to Finland few days ago and have been enjoying the sunshine every day. I do hope it will be sunny next weekend, when we go to Lappeenranta Summer Market. There will be skirts like this in different colours and sizes as well as lots of other colourful stuff there so if you are around, do come and check it out.

Sunshine for everyone,
