My friend had a babyboy a while ago and I wanted to send him something cute and soft. My little boy loves to play with a star shaped rattle that I made last Christmas, so I decided to make similar one for this new baby. I used bright green polkadot cotton for the star and added a bell inside so it makes little sound when wiggled around. I also made velor trousers for him with green star applique and green ribbing on the waist and ankles. Now he can play with his rattle in matching trousers.. ;)

This outfit is also for my friend’s baby. She saw the cotton knit in my fabric piles and wanted a hoodie from it. It is really nice and soft knit with cute little colourful monsters and text I’m a little monster! ;) I used press buttons in the front and also made matching velor pants with kneepads to go with the hoodie. The outfit is size 70cm but the trousers will definitely fit long because of long ribbing on the waist and ankles. Perfect for mommy’s little monster!
My friend asked me to make some baby jeans for her little bellybaby who will be born later this year. She wanted colourful sets that would fit nicely for both a boy or a girl. I made few jeans out of her old stretchy jeans that were nice and soft for baby clothing. I added giraffe applique in the front and small pockets at the back. Yellow ribbing gives nicely colour to the dark denim. The size is 68cm.
Another pair in size 62cm got orange ribbing for colour and an owl applique in the front. Both of them turned out really cute. I just can’t wait to see the little one wearing them!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything here on the blog (Sorry about that!!) but I have been busy making bunch of stuff. There has been lot of bunny clothing for little kiddies in the making as well as some summer skirts for bit bigger girls. Now I finally got to take pictures and show you some of them.
This bunny outfit is for a little baby boy and it is size 70cm. It is made of soft velor and the hood has a white lining. I added press buttons in front in stead of zipper because in such a small clothing I feel they are more comfortable. :) The trousers are off white and have no side seams. Comfy comfy! It is nice to make a bit more calm coloured clothing for a change and not just bright reds and oranges all the time.
Here are few Christmas presents that I made this year. My sister ordered a bunch of bunny clothes for her friend’s babies and I think they turned out lovely. The velor with a bunny applique is a nice and comfortable combination for the little ones. I made some dresses for girls and trousers, overalls and hoodie for boys. I think I have to make Onni something similar, maybe a vest with a little bunny. Would be cute cute ;)

A small post here in between the Christmas calendar…
A little boy got a beautiful name today and for the occasion I made this outfit for him. Little hedgehog onesie with comfy velor trousers. I appliqued a small hedgehog in the front and added bright turquoise button as an eye to give a bit of colour. Congratulations little man once more! :)
I returned to my favourite fabric once again and made a bunny outfit with jeans and a velor shirt. The jeans have red ribbing on the waist and in ankles and they are made of soft recycled jeans. I also made some back pockets, but forgot to take a picture from behind ;) The shirt is made of red velor and is nice and soft to wear. The neckline is orange ribbing and there is a bunny applique in front. The jeans also has a bunny appliqued in front so they make a nice set.
This set is actually a birthday present for a little one year old girl. I made the jeans roomy so they are comfy to wear with a diaper. I am used to making wide cut trousers because Onni wore cloth diapers and they needed more space than disposable diapers. That is why some of his old trousers still fit him now, although they have gotten short long time ago. Well, he can use them as capri pants and shorts at the summer ;) I hope the birthday girl likes her soft present.
I am gonna show you few of my favourite fabrics again soon. I have done some nice finds again lately and just can’t wait to show them to you. ;)
I have been making bunch of trousers lately. Onni has grown so much last Summer that all his jeans are too short for him. He likes to wear loose jeans with ribbing on the waist and on ankles because they are so comfortable and he can take them off himself when he goes to the bathroom. His kindergarten teachers are also liking the jeans because they are so easy and comfortable but still cute and colourful.
I found a piece of recycled corduroy in the flee market and it was just enough to make small trousers. The colour is nice and deep blue and the fabric is like new. I love this kind of finds. I ended up making giraffe trousers with stylish back pockets and yellow ribbing on the waist and on ankles. Giraffe is made of retro pillow cover that I found in a flee market while ago. Nice and spotty for a giraffe ;)
The trousers are size 80cm and will be available in the Retrobug Shop. I am also adding bunch of pouches there soon, so go and have a peak!

This Retrobug set is for a two year old little boy for his birthday. The trousers are made of orange velor and brown ribbing. This orange velor is a really nice colour. It is a bit toned down orange and fits really nice to the retrobug fabric. I made only one pocket out of retrobug jersey because two felt like a bit too much.
I also made a retrobug hat for him with white jersey lining to finish the look. Hope he likes his bugs! ;)
This set is for a little baby boy who came to this world on Friday 13th. What a great day to be born and bring good luck to all his family. :) I wanted to make something soft and cuddly for him and ended up making a body out of Retrobug cotton knit with orange ribbing. I also made stripy terry trousers to match the body and appliqued a small elephant in front. The ear is made by cutting a hole to the applique so the fabric underneath shows through. Nice and simple! Since he is a tall handsome boy, I made the set in size 68/74cm so he can fit into it a bit later in the Winter. I think he will look adorable in Retrobugs and stripes ;)
