Bunch of bunnies

So, here comes my first pile of spring hats. A bunch of different bunnies jumped to these ones made of jersey, velor and terry. The lining is white jersey. All of them are size 2-4 yrs and they will go to Retrobug Shop. :) I think the stripy terry hat is my favorite. So cute and springy. Perfect for the sunshine outside. ;) Now I gotta tackle those Robots, I promised to Onni. What else would look cute on a hat? Any ideas? :)

Spring is on its way. I can feel it. It is so nice to wake up in the morning when it is light outside. I just can’t wait for the summer! It is also time to start making some spring clothing and especially hats. I made this Robot hat to a little girl whose daddy sells robots. :) When Onni saw the hat he instantly wanted one for himself too. So, I guess I have to become a Robot factory myself ;)

I have however bunch of bunny hats on the making. I just need to add final touches before showing them to you. So more of them tomorrow.. Have a lovely spring day everyone!

Bunny dress

What a week it has been. Onni got chickenpox a bit over a week ago and I have been stuck inside with him ever since. An energetic three year old stuck inside for over a week is not a good combination, trust me. Fortunately he is all well now and got to go outside to play and spend some of that energy of his ;)

So, I finally got to spend some time at my sewing machine. ( I started having some withdrawals already ;) This bunny dress is for a little four year old girl. I do hope she likes the end result. I was going to put brown ribbing on the collar but it felt too dark a combination so I ended up using bright apple green ribbing instead. The green velor has this olive tone so it was nice to brighten it up a bit with lighter tone. There are yellow press buttons on the shoulder and a singing bunny appliqued in front. Those bunnies are always so cute, no matter how many dresses I make with them ;)

p.s. Sorry about the odd colours in the photo. I am hoping the sun would show up again after the loooong Winter, so I can take good pictures again ;)

Dinosaur hoodie

Onni has a costume party at his kindergarten today and I wanted to make him a costume that is still comfortable and easy to wear the entire day. I also prefer making clothing that can be worn in everyday life as well and not just in costume parties. Since dinosaurs are the thing right now in his games, we decided to make a dinosaur hoodie for him. It is comfy to wear as it is made of green, yellow and brown velor. I added some spikes at the back seam and a appliqued a dinosaur foot mark in front of the hoodie as a detail. The little dinosaur seemed happy with his outfit and was practicing dinosaur sounds and moves before he headed to kindergarten. ;)

Sorry about the bad pictures, taking pictures early in the morning is not the best of ideas in Winter. ;)

Grrrroooowl! to all of you…

Hug me Dinosaur

This colourful dinosaur is not a very scary one but more of a huggable friend. It is made of colourful vintage cotton in bright orange and purple. There are orange spikes on his back but he only uses them to tickle his hugbuddies. ;)  This HuggaSaur will go to a good home and will hopefully get a little baby  friend to play with later this year.

Baby Owl

This little big eyed owl baby is for a tiny girl who was born at Christmas. We get to meet her for the first time today and I wanted to make something soft and cute for her. The owl is made of red and pink soft corduroy and has pink cotton legs and wings as well as a peak. A little girl owl must have some lashes, so I embroidered few curly lashes for her as well. I think she turned out quite adorable. Hope the little girl will like it too ;)

Back in business..

Hello again and sorry about my long silence. January went by so fast and I can’t believe it’s already February. I have been fairly useless last weeks, suffering from nausea and being tired all the time. Fortunately it is all for a great cause, as we will get a new family member in the beginning of August. ;) I cannot wait and  Onni is getting quite excited too. He talks about the tiny baby in the belly though occasionally he thinks it is in his belly. :D So, exciting months ahead of us! Hopefully the morning sickness is behind me now and I can get back in business with some energy and enthusiasm.

Anyways, I finally added more pouches in the Retrobug shop. There are now two sizes available, small and large. Check them out here! I have also gotten excited about baby stuff again (surprise, surprise) and have been making few baby softies and clothing. I will blog about them later once I get to photograph them. Few of our friends have also gotten little baby girls last few weeks and I am making something cute and soft for them too. ;)

Here are few of the pouches that are available in the shop. I will photograph more and add them to the shop in next few days.

Wow, I can’t believe how fast the time goes. It is already a new year and we are heading fast towards the spring. Last year went by so fast and kept me busy all year long. It has been great to share ideas and handicrafts with you all here in my blog. I want to thank you all for your comments and visits here in p.s.recycled. It would not be the  same without you dropping by. This year we will continue with new ideas and tricks. I cannot wait! ;)

I wish this year will bring many happy, creative, surprising, wonderful moments to you all and bring you closer to your dreams.

Happy New Year everyone!

Here are few Christmas presents that I made this year. My sister ordered a bunch of bunny clothes for her friend’s babies and I think they turned out lovely. The velor with a bunny applique is a nice and comfortable  combination for the little ones. I made some dresses for girls and trousers, overalls and hoodie for boys. I think I have to make Onni something similar, maybe a vest with a little bunny. Would be cute cute ;)

Christmas came and went and I am happy to get back to normal life rhythm ;) I want to thank everybody for your nice comments and feedback. I am so happy that my blog has given you inspiration and joy. I have definitely enjoyed sharing my ideas and sewings with you all. Naturally it would not be the same without you all visiting me and leaving comments, so thank you once again.

Here’s a little peak to my Huggables. Remember to take part in the Christmas Giveaway in the previous post and you can win one of these soft friends.

Have a great week everyone!
